after working out at the gym, my sister and i headed for the nearest mall to buy the fitness gloves that we would be needing for the gym. we ate luch and decided to stroll around the area while i buy around the remaining stuff for batchi's upcoming birthday.

we came across to this "tiangge" stall. we decided to browse the shirts on the racks. here, the story begins...

donna: uy ate! ito o! maganda ito... bagay syo.
ate: oo nga. sige hanap pa tyo. wag naman black para hindi pareho. eto don. bagay syo 'to.
donna: oo nga. sige kunin ko na. pati ito. ayan. ok na yung dalawa. ikaw?

tindera1: miss, kukunin nyo na ba yan? naiihi na kasi ako eh.
donna: oo. (sabay kuha ng 500 bill)
tindera1: miss, wala ba kayong barya? wala kasi akong panukli eh.

donna: magkano ba lahat?
tindera1: 225 lang. 300 wala ka?

tindera1: uy kwan! (sabi sa isang tindera) pahiram muna ng 200. papalitan ko nalang mamaya itong 500 mamya pagkatapos kong umihi. ihing-ihi na kasi ako eh!
tindera2: o sige. eto o. (sabay abot ng 200)
tindera1: (bumalik na sa pwesto nya) pabantay mamaya nito ha. iihi lang ako.
donna: miss, sa thailand ba ito gawa?

tindera1: hindi ho. sa bangkok. (sabay abot sa sukli)
donna: oo nga. (taas ng kilay. pagkakuha ng sukli, umalis na)

sa parking lot, tawa kami ng tawa ni ate! mamatay kme sa kakatawa! hanggang sa bank, tumatawa ang isip ko habang nakapila sa counter para mag deposit. langya! hindi nga thailand... bangkok naman!

parati akong ganun. palibhasa sinanay kme ng isang guro ko na maging detalyado sa mga produkto. naging ugali ko ang maging ganun especially kung alam ko ang tungkol sa mga produkto. kung baga, this is just a test to sales people if they know their products. metikuloso kasi akong tao. kapag mali ang sinabi mo, i straight it out. kapag inangasan mo ako, magyayabang ako ng todo. just like these incidents...

SM Cubao department store:

Houseware section: mum ang i are looking for a new dish rack dryer. every year kasi pinapalitan namin.

salesman: good evening ma'am. anong hanap nila?
donna: meron ba kyong dish rack dryer?
salesman: aba meron. ito o... (sabay turo sa dish rack na may takip na parang kyowa pero hindi)
donna: ay ayaw ko yan. gusto ko yung rack lang. walang takip na plastic. kasi tendency nyan madaling mag-stuck e at maliit masyado.
salesman: meron kami pero mahal.
donna: saan?

salesman led me to the kyowa dish racks na walang pinagkaiba sa nauna.

donna: sus ko naman! ang cheap naman nyan! wala na bang mas-gaganda dyan? kasi yung ginagamit namin yung STERILITE AT RUBBERMAID na dish racks eh. wala ba kyo nyan? (sabay taas ng kilay. forever taray.)

lumipas ang 10 seconds

donna: (malakas ang boses) Alam nyo, wala akong pakialam kung magkano pa yan! Kaya kong bilhin ang 5 pairs sa original price ngayon! Kaya pwede ba, paki kuha ako ng size 7! Pinag-aantay nyo mga customer snyo. Kapag hindi pa ako nakakuha ng size 7, sa iba ako bibili. (yabang ko palibhasa may 5000 akong dala na pera ko. hehehe)

nagulantang sila pati mga ibang customers nagalit sa kanila kasi hindi sila pinapansin dahil nagkukumpulan sa calculator at nagtatalo kung magkano ang kalalabasan ng 459php sa 20% discount. galing noh?

haay.. ang pinoy nga naman. marami pa akong incidents sa mga salespeople. pero yun lang ang aking maku-kwento. haha! ibang klase talaga!

since i don't know what to do with my time on the internet, i decided to download lots of games online. lovey introduced me to "Mystery Case Files: Huntsville" and damn, i was addicted to it. there are also lots of games that are downloadable but the catch is you can only get the 60 minute time-trial version of the game. after 60 minutes, you can now enjoy the 5 minute session per execution of the game. but within that 5 minutes, you can actually enjoy and do things.

caught red-handed

right after mass, we went straight home, changed to home clothes and the kids started playing. mum was inside her room and so are the kids. all of a sudden, mum went out and got a stack of stapled papers and handed it to batchi. you know why? because batchi was caught red-handed doodling on the walls of the room! hahaha! oh man! now, i'll be devoting my precious time scrubbing all the doodles on the walls. bu thankfully, she was just using crayons. hehehe!

hmm... i'm still pursuing my studies and at the same time work. hard? nope. if ever i find work, i can have my weekends free and when i get my weekends free, i can go and continue my MA degree during saturdays (since its scheduled that way). o diba? mejo toxic lang pero atleast progressing.

salamat naman at sa manila area na sya na-assign. though he will be gone for a day or two to endorse his previous area to another rep. ok lang kasi atleast manila na sya for good... well, sana. atleast now, i can now prepare (again) his food for lunch like i used to do when he was still at Infonxx and araw araw na namin na e-enjoy sya ni batchi.

missing daddy

it's really hard to keep up with the daily routines whenever something is missing. there's an empty space inside that is killing slowly...

since he started his new job, i couldn't help but feel lonely. he's been assigned in a town miles away from home that he had to rent out a room for 5 days. the only time i would be able to see and be with him is when he goes home for the weekend. there are also times that he couldn't come home because he had to do reports for the week.

the most depressing part is seeing our daughter's expression everytime she asks where her daddy is. i hate lying so i tell her that daddy is out at work or daddy is working so that he can give you money for you to put in your piggy. i believe she understands the reasons i tell her but what struck me most is that whenever i answer her questions, the smile on her face will fade and would transform into a teary frown. upon seeing this, i rush to the bathroom to cry.

every night as she would hear the beeping car horn, she rushes towards the front door to peek, she would also shout to her daddy. as she peeks outside to see, you could see the twinkle in her eyes hoping to see if daddy came home. the excitement in her never falters and so does her smile.

whenever we can, we pray in silence before she goes to bed. to pray for daddy's safety and that God would whisper to daddy's ears that we love and miss him. i hope daddy misses us too as we are lonely without having him here.

if you could only see the questioning look in her eyes, asking mommy to fetch her daddy from work so that she can have him for good. that struck me most for her eyes are the most expressive ones i saw.

this little girl wanted to give her daddy a message that she hopes that she could be with her longer and not go so far away again...

...if only he can...

growing up

in less than a year after batchi tunrned 1, she learned new things that i only taught once. like after she drinks from her bottle, may it be milk, juice or water, she gets the bottle cover and covers it herself and returns it inside the small ref. she also knew how to throw her trash in the trash bin. and she always say "thank you" whenever she gives and receives something from someone, like a kiss or a hug and she would always say "please" in every after request she makes.

she can also converse with adults though not so clearly but she still tries understanding us. whenever she wanted something that she cannot reach, she would take your hand and pull you and point the things that she wanted. whenever her lampin has been unfolded, she would give it to her mommy and says, "mommy, pin pls." because she wanted it folded. she also obeys the adults every time she's being reprimanded and is loving every minute she takes her medicine.

so sweet, so innocent, so bright, so intelligent.

that's my baby big girl!
